With the Premier League title just five games away from Manchester City, Chelsea doesn't want to be one more stepping stone for the Citizens to reach that goal.
In order to keep their pride, Antonio Conte asked his players their best "tactical behavior", because any mishap could lead to a massive defeat against the best team in England.
"When you play this type of game, when you play against this team who have showed to be very strong, you must have a plan in your mind to stop them with a tactical plan, otherwise you risk to lose in a bad way," Conte told the press.
Chelsea enters this game with a two-game losing streak away from home. One more loss for Conte's men at the Etihad would equal their worst run in the EPL in the past five years, and would broaden the gap between Manchester City and them to 25 points.
It's very difficult but, at the same time, we have to try and find if there are weaknesses in this team and try to work on these weaknesses. We have to try and find the best way to play this game against them," the Italian coach added.
The Blues enter this game with three absences. David Luiz, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ethan Ampadu are out due to injury, while Ross Barkley may make the squad after recovering from an injured hamstring.
