Cristiano Ronaldo has set his sights on adding three more Ballon d’Ors to the five he has already acquired.

The Real Madrid poster boy swept home almost all the notable accolades in world football last season after guiding his side to a Champions League and La Liga double. However, it’s been a topsy-turvy affair for the Portuguese forward and Los Blancos although recent games have seen them hit a steady level of consistency.

Cristiano Ronaldo topped up fine performances against PSG and Real Betis in previous games by scoring a brace in Real Madrid’s 4:0 home victory over Deportivo Alaves last Saturday. With the Merengues scheduled to take on Espanyol on Tuesday, the 32-year-old striker found some spare time to have a chat with Youtuber 'Fred +10' on the Desimpedidos channel.

In the dialogue, Cristiano Ronaldo emphasized his desire to achieve more before he brings his career to a standstill although he believes he’ll still feel fulfilled should he retire anytime soon.

"I never dreamed of winning the Ballon d'Or five times," he told Desimpedidos.

"If I had to finish my career now, I would be super happy... [but] if I won another Ballon d'Or, two or three more times I'd be delighted with life.

"Even if I don't win, I've already won five... but I still have the confidence and the strength to compete for the prize... it depends on the titles we win this year.

"Everything I dreamed of, I achieved."

Having laid his down his ambitions, the former Manchester United man followed up with a rather bizarre remark about his outlook and personality after being engaged by his interviewer.

"Apart from being handsome ... I think you have to like yourself," Ronaldo expressed.

"Having self-esteem, you have to give yourself value.

"I'm not going to say I'm a Prince, but you have to like yourself.

"I look in the mirror and I like what I see, and I like to look at myself, of course."

The in-form forward who is currently eight goals adrift the summit of the Pichichi chart is expected to be in the mix of things again as Real Madrid travels to Espanyol in their midweek La Liga action.
