Kylian Mbappé "dropped the mic" after Benoit Assou-Ekotto slammed him for some statements he made recently.
The pair of footballers don't have the best of relationships since the former Tottenham player tackled Mbappé violently during the first half of the season. In the past weeks, Mbappé's quotes about wanting to help African teams develop caught Assou-Ekotto's ear, prompting the Cameroonian to aim a dig at him.
This is the Cameroonian's tweet.
"Those European players from African descent that claim to have Africa in their heart and want to help sports develop and blah blah blah, but they rush to play for a European National Team. They make me laught, but I guess we should consider it as a 'good cause'"

Mbappé's reply recalled one of the most embarrassing moments the world of football has witnessed, with Assou-Ekotto in the middle of it.

Mbappé's comments were sparked by the fight between Moukandjo and Assou-Ekotto in the 2014 World Cup. The then team-mates had an argument on the pitch which ended with the defender landing a head-butt to Moukandjo. This "battle" will have another chapter on March 10, when PSG and Metz fight again.
