For the Red Devils, they had to settle for a scoreless stalemate against Sevilla, meaning that there's everything to play for in the return leg next month. For the Blues, their hopes at qualifying for the quarter-finals now hang in the balance after Lionel Messi finally broke his scoring hoodoo by snatching an away goal for Barcelona, which means Antonio Conte's men face the precarious task of traveling to Camp Nou and trying to score there without conceding.
As things stand, it's Jose Mourinho's men who sit in second spot, whilst Conte's troops are barely hanging onto fourth place. However, the Red Devils don't have the best track record against Chelsea, as they've won just one of their last 14 meetings across all comps and Conte has a pretty strong track record against his tacticial opponent, with three wins in his last four meetings with Mourinho.
