The former French striker disagreed with Neymar's decision to leave Los Blaugranas in favor of PSG last summer.

Neymar's decision to leave Barcelona is still making waves even almost a year after it took place, and now, it was Thierry Henry who voiced his thoughts on the subject.

The footballer-turned-pundit referred to the alleged reason for Neymar to leave Barcelona. Sources close to the Brazilian ace have stated that Neymar's desire to shine was the main reason for him to set sail for PSG, rather than "living under Messi's shadow." According to Henry, if that was the main reason behind the multi-million deal, then Neymar had it all wrong from the beginning.

"I don't know if Neymar left Barcelona so he didn't have to live under Messi's shadow. All I know is that every player in the world lives under Messi's shadow. If Neymar didn't want to live under it, then he should consider changing his profession," Henry stated.

The former striker has always been a huge fan of Messi. In fact, Henry admitted many times that he was  amazed by Messi's skills during their time together at Barcelona, forcing him to keep his mind on what he was doing to avoid being impressed by the Argentinean.

Neymar's first season at PSG has been surrounded by controversy, and the Brazilian star will have a chance to prove his worth when he tries to steer Les Parisiens past Real Madrid in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie on March 6.
