Los Blancos will travel to Seville to take on Los Verdiblancos in La Liga's Matchday 24.

After an enthralling performance against Paris Saint-Germain at the Santiago Bernabeu in mid-week, the feel-good spirit is back in the Real Madrid camp. Having fallen behind to Adrien Rabiot goal, the Merengues fought on till the end to seal a 3:1 victory prior to the return fixture in Paris in March. It is not all over yet but things look very positive for Zinedine Zidane’s side who has had a topsy-turvy campaign in most competitions so far.

MATCH PREVIEW

The Frenchman will be hoping that his squad will build on their newly-found form and confidence to secure an automatic Champions League spot as a consolation prize for their failed La Liga title defense. The all-Whites band will get to do exactly just that when they travel to the Estadio Benito Villamarin.

As part of this season’s surprises, the host of Sunday’s encounter put the Madrid-based club to the sword in the first round of this season’s league campaign by running home with a 1:0 win. An Antonio Sanabria’s 94th-minute header back in September ensured that the Beticos secured their first victory at the Bernabeu in 19 years.

In truth, Real Betis, who is currently placed 8th on the league log has been in fine form this season. The club has won four of its last six games and with Europa League football looking like a possibility, a real fight could be on the cards when Real Madrid comes knocking on Sunday.

Los Blancos have been struggling for points on the road as they have managed to accrue just 19 points from a possible 30. However, with the mojo seemingly back and their main man Cristiano Ronaldo running the shows in recent weeks, a happy ending is probably beckoning. It is worth-noting that the vistors have won 4 of their last 6 away games against Los Verdiblancos, including a 6-1 victory last season.

In the fitness and line-ups department, the talismanic Gareth Bale is expected to make a starting berth. The winger lost his position in the starting eleven to Isco in the mid-week clash with PSG. Dani Carvajal will also return to action after missing the Champions League game via suspension. In the green and white corner, Ruben Castro will be lined up to contribute his quota after missing last week’s victory at Deportivo La Coruna through injury.
