Unai Emery repeatedly blamed the ref for some questionable calls that 'helped' Real Madrid bounce back.

Was Unai Emery right, or will UEFA's officers hand him a ban due to his words?

The Spanish boss left no stone unturned when analyzing Stefano Rocchi's job in the game between his team and Real Madrid, and let us tell you, he wasn't happy with the result.

The former Sevilla manager linked almost every answer to his thoughts on the game's ref, even if they were not intended to ask his opinion on the matter.

We have a bittersweet sensation. When we were better, just before halftime, they got a break due to a questionable call. Then, when everything was under control, they score with a possible foul (against Kimpembe). Finally they got a third. The ref's calls didn't help," Emery said.

"VAR should be used to sort these things out. If you add Ramos' handball, things take an ugly turn. I didn't get to see it, but if he did, he should have awarded a penalty," Emery added.

Here's a quick look at some of those calls Emery complained about.

Toni Kroos is brought down by Giovani Lo Celso. Penalty or not? The ref said "yes".

Ramos apparently contacts the ball with his arm. Penalty or not? The ref said "no".

CR7's possible foul on Kimpembe prior to Real Madrid's second goal. Foul or not? The ref waved for the game to continue. (Image may be geo-restricted)
