Los Che regained their position in La Liga’s top three after an emphatic 3:1 victory over Levante.

Prior to kick-off, Valencia momentarily sat a place below Real Madrid who annihilated Real Sociedad via a 5-2 scoreline on Saturday. However, goals from Santi Mina, Luciano Vietto, and Dani Parejo ensured that Marcelino’s men walked home with all the three points, with Sergio Postigo getting a consolation goal for Levante in the local derby.

As things stand, Valencia has amassed 43 points from the 23 games they’ve featured in thus far – two points more than Real Madrid. Nonetheless, it is worth noting that Los Che’s stay among the top three may be shortlived considering Los Blancos have an outstanding game with Leganes.

Zidane’s men will host Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League in mid-week before they make a stop at Real Betis in the weekend’s La Liga action. Valencia will seek to uphold their aim of gaining automatic qualification into next season's Champions League by stealing all the three points in another local derby versus bottom-placed Malaga.
