Two amazing stats emerged after the North London Derby, but only one was good.

The North London Derby did not go as planned for Arsenal, but Tottenham was on cloud nine after the final whistle. Their clash at Wembley Stadium saw Pochettino’s men emerge victorious courtesy of a 1-0 scoreline.

Harry Kane, of course, scored the winning goal as he towered above the Gunners defenders to head in the only goal early on in the second half. Wenger’s side could not find a response after that and was extremely lucky not to concede four or five.

That goal saw the English maintain his excellent goalscoring form against Arsenal. It was remarkable his seventh strike in seven games, with the Three Lions ace failing to find the back of the net in only one of those fixtures.

The 24-year-old is only one goal shy of equaling the most North London Derby goals by a single player in the Premier League. That record currently belongs to Emmanuel Adebayor with eight goals.

As for the Gunners, this defeat means their atrocious away form continues. Arsenal has played 14 games on the road so far this season but has shockingly won only three of those games.

Those victories came against Everton, Burnley, and Crystal Palace. Seven of those away ties ended in defeat, including the latest at Wembley.

The 1-0 loss to Spurs could also be the final blow to the Gunners’ top-four hopes. Liverpool currently occupies the fourth spot with a six-point lead over Ozil and Co. as the Reds are yet to play. Should Klopp’s side win, the gap between Wenger’s men and the final Champions League spot will increase to nine points with only 12 games remaining.
