A move is reportedly on the cards for the former Manchester United star.

After getting his contract terminated by Olympique Marseille for controversially kicking a fan earlier this season, Patrice Evra seems to be edging close to playing actively once again.

The 36-year-old fullback has been unassigned to any club for close to three months. However, according to Sky Sports, West Ham United is looking to bring the player back to the premiership.

It is worth knowing that Evra will be ineligible to feature for the Hammers should he secure a move considering he is still serving the match ban slapped on him by UEFA. However, he is tabled to return in June 2018 per the disciplinary regulations.

Patrice Evra featured 379 times and scored three goals across nine seasons for Manchester United in his first English Premier League stint.

The Frenchman went on to win five Premier League titles, three English League Cups, five Community Shields, and one FIFA Club World Cup. He also played a vital role in the Red Devils’ Champions League triumph in Moscow back in 2008.
