The Italian boss could be replaced in the next couple of days by Roman Abramovich due to the team's recent poor form.

Antonio Conte chose a different way to work in order to get Chelsea out of their current slump.

The Italian boss, who's been taking serious criticism from fans and experts recently, reacted to the team's 4-1 loss against Watford in a bizarre way, by choosing not to train with his squad after such a baffling display.

In fact, Conte decided to give his players three days off to get their heads straight, in what seems to be an effort to regain control of the locker room, which is not happy with some of the coach's decisions.

According to a report by The Mirror, Conte conceded these days off as a request from his players, who demanded some down time to recover from a strain of difficult games. The Blues have been hit hard by injuries to key players, and dropped the ball in three of their four most recent games.

With the top of the league seeming almost unreachable for Conte's men, Chelsea's focus seems to be their UEFA Champions League clash against Barcelona. Let's see if the team's hierarchy decides to keep Conte around until then, because a loss in their next clash against West Brom could be the final nail to the coach's coffin only months after leading them to the Premier League title.
