The Gabonese striker wanted to clarify a few things with his former team's supporters before his first game at Arsenal.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's final days as a Borussia Dortmund player weren't the best. The Gabonese striker pushed the team's hiearchy to the limit, trying to force a transfer away from the German club.

The team's supporters, known across the world for being some of the most loyal out there, even displayed a banner to criticize Aubameyang's attitude trying to force an exit from the club.

With that in mind, and once his transfer to Arsenal was confirmed, the footballer took it to Instagram to issue an apology to Borussia Dortmund's fans.

"First of all, sorry for everything that happened last month. I wanted to leave the club last summer, but things didn't go my way. Maybe it wasn't the best way to get things done, but you know that Auba is crazy- and yes, I'm a crazy kid, hahaha! I've made mistakes, but I never wanted to do you wrong.  I will never forget these four and a half years at Borussia Dortmund, because everyone of you gave me the strength to reach my current form. Thanks to the whole BVB family, the fans, the club, the staff and of course my teammates! Your Auba17!"

Arsenal broke a team record for the most expensive signing when they decided to hire Aubameyang. Now, the Gabonese ace will have to show his true worth when he takes the field with the Gunners. Will he become a legend, or will he flop in the English Premier League? We'll have to wait and see.
