According to Bild, the deal will be wrapped up by Monday.

Arsenal fans can prepare to celebrate. According to the latest rumors, Wenger’s side has finally agreed on a deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Bundesliga goalscoring machine, from Borussia Dortmund.

The Gabonese forward has been linked with an Emirates Stadium move for weeks as he was tipped as the replacement for Alexis Sanchez. Reports later emerged that the deal could collapse due to the Gunners’ unwilling to meet BVB’s asking price, but everything appears to have been wrapped up.

BILD reports that the transfer is done and dusted, with Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi expected to move to the Signal Iduna Park as the former St. Etienne ace’s replacement. Guillem Balague later tweeted that an agreement had been reached pending a medical, with the north London side paying $74.6m for the 28-year-old.

Although there have been conflicting reports on the exact transfer fee, Arsenal looks set to pay less that Dortmund’s original $84m demand. An additional $3.5m will be given to the player if the club wins a major trophy or reaches the Champions League knockout stage.

The Sky Sports pundit also claimed that Aubameyang will earn less than half of wanted Alexis wanted prior to his exit. The Guardian writes that he will pocket around $250,000 per week - $253, 369 to be precise.

As for Giroud, he has not been included in the deal. Arsenal is looking to sell the Frenchman in a separate deal to, possibly, the Bundesliga outfit. Chelsea is also interested in Olivier, with Olivier reportedly wanting to remain in London.

Aubameyang’s deal is expected to be completed on Monday. Question marks hang over Giroud’s future, but time will tell whether his exit will happen before Tuesday’s Premier League clash with Swansea.
