The Portuguese ace was left out of the squad that faced Leganés on Wednesday in order to heal from the cut to his left eye.

Once again, Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up and tried to calm the team's supporters after Wednesday's historical loss against Leganés.

In a short message published via Twitter, CR7 urged fans to keep supporting the team despite their drop in form, especially because there are still several games to be played this season.

"Cheer up, team. Cheer up, Madridistas. We still have a lot of battles to win."

After last night's loss, Real Madrid's chances to win any trophies have been reduced to what they can do in the UEFA Champions League. They sit 19 points away from La Liga leaders Barcelona, which makes the UCL tie much more relevant to determine Zidane's future, since he could be sacked by Florentino Perez if PSG eliminate them from the competition.
