The Portuguese boss spoke about those claims that see him leaving the club this summer, as other reports reveal his stint at Old Trafford could be extended.

Jose Mourinho stepped up to dismiss rumors about a possible resignation as Manchester United's boss. Speaking in today's pre-match conference, the Special One referred to tabloid reports that saw him leaving Old Trafford by the end of the season.

"It's garbage. I wish to stay until the end of my contract. It's not up to me to sign a new deal, the team will make that call, but right now I'm fully committed with the club. Those reports damaged me since they were questioning my loyalty and dedication, they weren't about my decision-making skills," Mourinho stated.

Mourinho also tackled claims about his unhappiness, especially since he's been quite shy when it comes to celebrating goals.

"So, I'm not happy or all of a sudden I lost my intensity because I don't behave like a clown on the sidelines? I'd rather keep on doing what I'm doing now, it's better for the team and myself," the coach added.

Mourinho and Manchester United enter contract extension talks

Jose Mourinho would put an end to his three-year policy with Manchester United, as the Portuguese boss and Red Devils' chairman Ed Woodward have begun contract negotiations to keep the Special One coaching at Old Trafford.

Reports by The Telegraph reveal that Mourinho could stay for at least three more seasons as Manchester United's manager, as the team would be ready to exercise a clause in the boss' contract which would add three more years to his contract, which expires by the end of next season.
