Coach Unai Emery revealed that his star could miss next weekend's game against Rennes due to the same issue.

Once again, Neymar will be left out of PSG's squad for a Ligue 1 game, but this time, his absence was caused by an off-the-pitch incident.

Coach Unai Emery admitted that, prior to PSG's previous game last Saturday, Neymar asked to be excused from the team to solve a family matter in his home country.

"He may be back on Tuesday night and could play against Strasbourg on Wednesday, or maybe he'll return directly to face Rennes next Saturday," the Spanish coach stated in a press conference.

The player posted a cryptic message on Twitter yesterday with the caption "Focus, strength and faith to celebrate one more day".

Emery admitted that, even though the player's problems are a setback, he understands that family matters have to be solved quickly in order to have Neymar fully focused on his job.

"If he ends up missing both games, it may be due to the fact that he needs to spend time with his family," Emery added.

Neymar will be one of five players absent from the Cup clash against Strasbourg alongside Thiago Motta, Thiago Silva, Adrien Rabiot and Layvin Kurzawa.
