UEFA Champions League teams fighting for the title revealed

December 6, 2017 By Oscar Rojas
Liverpool, Sevilla, Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk booked their spot in the knockout stage of the tournament with their wins today.

The wait is over. All sixteen spots for the UEFA Champions League have been handed out, and now, we'll have to wait until Monday for the draw that will determine the Round of 16 games.

Liverpool managed to win Group E with their 7-0 blowout against Spartak at Anfield. The Reds were joined by Sevilla as runners up with their draw against Maribor. FC Porto booked their spot after finishing in second place of Group G, eliminating RB Leipzig from the tournament. Shakhtar Donetsk joined the Round of 16 party with their surprise win against Manchester City, taking advantage of

Here's the complete list of teams that will keep their UEFA Champions League hopes alive.

Group winners

Manchester United (Group A), PSG (Group B), Roma (Group C), Barcelona (Group D), Liverpool (Group E), Manchester City (Group F), Besiktas (Group G), Tottenham Hotspur (Group H).

Runners up

Basel (Group A), Bayern Munich (Group B), Chelsea (Group C), Juventus (Group D), Sevilla (Group E), Shakhtar Donetsk (Group F), FC Porto (Group G), Real Madrid (Group H).

The draw will forbid teams from the same league facing each other in the Round of 16. For example, Chelsea will only have three potential rivals in the upcoming stage, as Man United, Liverpool, Man City and Tottenham won their groups. The other major rule for the draw will be preventing teams that played in the same group facing each other again in the first KO stage.
