Another day in La Liga, another blunder from the linesman. Nearly a week after Barcelona was denied a clear goal due to poor officiating, the league leader was once again robbed by another gaffe.
This time, the error came in a home clash with Celta Vigo. Things did not start well for the host, as they conceded first after a goal from Iago Aspas.
Luckily for Valverde’s side, Lionel Messi found the back of the net shortly afterward to equalize for the Camp Nou side. 1-1 was how it stayed until half-time, but the Blaugrana should have been leading.
Luis Suarez, who eventually scored in the second half, saw a first-half goal disallowed thanks to a mistake from the linesman. With the game 1-1, the Uruguayan was put through on goal by a lovely pass from Messi and had only the keeper to beat when he was wrongly flagged as offside.
Replay showed that Suarez was, in fact, onside and should have been allowed to score. Barcelona went on to drop points, drawing 2-2, but could have won if it wasn't for yet another error by the linesman.

It’s just another mistake in a long list of refereeing blunders that have cost the Catalan giant. In the trip to Valencia in the previous round, a shot from Messi had been spilled by the goalkeeper and crossed the line. Unfortunately, the linesman did not notice this and thus the goal was never awarded. Barcelona drew that game 1-1 and lost two points.
If we end up losing the league by 4 pts or less just remember this. Perez’s League always has been and will be. pic.twitter.com/xSL8xhWytH

Although Suarez’s goal was disallowed, replays show that Jozabed (bottom of picture) played Suarez onside. pic.twitter.com/75XzA111qi

For once Suarez is onside, scores, but of course it's wrongly called offside

Suárez scores but referee says offside? I don’t even need to tell you that the referee is wrong. Another robbery.

Only thing worse than la liga referees is la liga linesmen, how's Suarez offside there? pic.twitter.com/xEDGB4eMzi

Real Madrid can benifit from this result, as they can cut the gap between themselves and Messi and Co. to five points. Los Blancos just need to win their clash with Athletic Bilbao later on Saturday.
