On Saturday, Man United travels to Arsenal in a highly-anticipated Premier League encounter. This is no longer a title decider as it used to be, but fans eagerly await an exciting encounter between two top English clubs nonetheless.
Although these two teams share a heated rivalry, one Red Devils ace admitted to being a Gooner when he was young. That man was none other than Paul Pogba.
The Man United academy product sat down for an interview with Football Focus and was asked about Arsenal’s popularity in France due to the number of French talents that have played at Highbury. This is when the 24-year-old let the cat out of the bag.
“In France, they were very big because there was a lot of French players,” Pogba said.
“I was quite a fan of Arsenal, you know. Thierry Henry, I was watching him.”
He might have been a Gooner when young, but Pogba is now a Man United player. The midfielder will be hoping to cause havoc at the Emirates in Saturday’s game and inspire Mourinho’s side to a vital win.
