At long last, Karim Benzema put his name on the scoreboard for Real Madrid, ending his longest streak without a goal in UEFA Champions League games.
The French star scored a brace in just six minutes, putting to good use assists by Toni Kroos and Cristiano Ronaldo to send the ball to the back of the net.
Benzema hadn't scored a UEFA Champions League goal in 279 days. His last goal came during Los Blancos' Round of 16 clash against Napoli, in a game celebrated on February 15. Benzema had played eight UCL games, all of them as a starter, being unable to score in each and every one of them.
Added to that, Benzema joined an elite goal scorers' club with his brace against APOEL.
