The French defender has already been fired by Olympique Marseille, but he had something to say after protests by OM fans during the team's recent game.

If you follow Patrice Evra's activity on social media, you must be aware of his usual "Monday Motivation" posts. Today, he dropped that hashtag and decided to talk about the incident which got him sent off prior to the beginning of the UEFA Europa League clash against Vitoria Guimaraes last week, resulting in his dismissal as an OM player days later.

The French footballer didn't show signs of regret in his post, and even went on to thank "true Marseille fans" for their support after last week's incident.

Reports claim that Evra was being taunted by some Olympique Marseille fans attending the stadium on Thursday. Things escalated after Evra allegedly kicked a ball towards the area where those angry fans kept shouting. Evra then walked close to the stands, prompting fans to try and hurt the Frenchman. Eventually he kicked a fan on the head, forcing the game's ref to send him off.
