Team news
Nothing would be better for Liverpool than back-to-back wins in the Premier League, having recently suffered an embarrassing slip-up in the English top-flight. Klopp’s side was on the wrong end of a 4-1 loss to Tottenham, but have since enjoyed consecutive 3-0 triumphs in the league and in Europe.
Victory could bring another positive for the Anfield side: entering the top four. With Arsenal (5th) and Chelsea (4th) facing Man City and Man United, respectively, this weekend; the Reds can move ahead of those two on goal difference should they lose by a huge margin.
A few injury worries could threaten the Reds, however, as two key players appear destined to miss out on this tie. They are Georginio Wijnaldum and Philippe Coutinho, who have ankle and thigh problems respectively.
West Ham has their own woes as well, as Michail Antonio; Sam Byram; Jose Fonte; and James Collins are all out with injuries. Furthermore, Pablo Zabaleta will also watch this match from the sidelines due to suspension.
