Current Rankings

Here's how things look in Group B ahead of MD 4

Preview

As things look, Bayern could book their spot in the knockout rounds if two things take place today. First, die Roten obviously will need to beat Celtic. Second, PSG will need to avoid losing to Anderlecht. Barring a shocking collapse on the part of Les Parisiens, the latter of the two is highly unlikely to take place, so the onus will be on Jupp Heynckes's men to pick up all three points.

Bayern are back in control of the Bundesliga after a rough patch, and come into this game having earned a well-deserved 2-0 win over RB Leipzig at the weekend. However, that victory came at a huge cost, as key striker Robert Lewandowski is set to miss out due to a leg injury. The Polish international joins Franck Ribery, Manuel Neuer, and Thomas Muller on the sidelines, which could give Celtic perhaps a slight hope of causing a highly unlikely upset.

The hosts, who lost 3-0 to Bayern in their last meeting, are missing Jozo Simunovic, Erik Sviatchenko and Anthony Ralston all due to varying injuries. Although they are highly unlikely to qualify for the round of 16, Europa League football is still an option, provided they don't drop any points against Anderlecht in their final group match.

Preview

PSG have nine points out of a possible nine after three rounds. Anderlecht have zero. Les Parisiens have scored a whopping 12 goals, while conceding zero. Anderlecht have shipped ten and have yet to find the back of the net.

In short, it will be nothing short of damage control for the visitors, who have had a miserable campaign so far. PSG will run riot at the Parc des Princes, and should have no problems sealing their spot in the round of 16 today. That's regardless of what happens at Celtic Park between Bayern Munich and Celtic, where die Roten are also expected to take care of business against Brendan Rodgers's side.

Unai Emery will likely field his strongest starting XI here, with his preferred attacking trio of Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani and Neymar up front set to do maximum damage against Anderlecht's defense, who will certainly be in for a very long and miserable evening in Paris.
