Here's how things stand in Group C ahead of MD 4

Preview

Many had expected it to be a battle between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid for top spot in Group C, but Roma have managed to upset the odds. The Giallorossi shocked the Blues in their last meeting by fighting back to secure a 3-3 draw, and will be hoping to pip Antonio Conte's men to top spot in this quartet.

However, Eusebio Di Francesco's side, who come into this game having narrowly beaten Bologna 1-0 courtesy of a Stephan El Shaarawy strike, still have a host of injury concerns ahead of the clash. Kostas Manolas, Bruno Peres and Rick Karsdorp are all potential absentees, while Gregoire Defrel is a major doubt after having to come off during the clash with Bologna this past weekend.

Meanwhile, Chelsea could potentially seal their spot in the knockout rounds provided that they beat Roma and Atletico Madrid somehow fail to defeat bottom feeders Qarabag. The visitors also come into this match having earned a slender 1-0 victory over the weekend, with Eden Hazard's effort enough to give Conte's side all three points against Bournemouth.

In terms of personnel, N'Golo Kante has returned to training, but it remains to be seen if the French star will feature against Roma later today, while Victor Moses is still on the treatment table.
