The Brazilian defender was criticized on social media for using a colorful jacket, but he dismissed them all by showing his sense of humor.

Dani Alves has always been one of those footballers who don't think too highly of themselves, usually replying to all his haters by showing an excellent sense of humor.

A couple of days after FIFA's The Best Gala, Alves replied to those who criticized the suit he used that evening. Mexican and U.S. based media trolled Alves' outfit, as it looked like the ones used by folk music groups known as mariachis.

Here are a couple of tweets showing how two media outlets mocked Alves' outfit.

"When Dani Alves has to attend an awards' ceremony and wants to serenade someone afterwards"

"Dani Alves' day job: footballer. Night job: mariachi"

Today, the footballer replied via Instagram by using Mexican slang, adding some smiley faces to his post.

"Don't s**k, man, I do like Mexico! Chingones!"
