Winners included Zinedine Zidane, Olivier Giroud and Lieke Martens. Celtic fans won the award for the Best supporters in the world.

FIFA's second gala to unveil The Best awards was a success. With Idris Elba as the host, football's governing body praised those they believe to be the best in this business during an evening filled with glamour and moments to remember.

The first major award saw Olivier Giroud taking the Puskas award home. Arsenal's French striker defeated Venezuelan striker Deyna Castellanos and South African goalie Oscarine Masuluke to the award.

Zinedine Zidane claimed his first trophy as a manager after beating Antonio Conte and Massimiliano Allegri to the Coach of the Year prize. Claudio Ranieri, who beat Zidane to the award last year, was in charge of giving Zizou this year's trophy.

Despite losing the UEFA Champions League title to Real Madrid, Gianluigi Buffon defeated Keylor Navas and Manuel Neuer to win the award for the Best Goalkeeper in the world.

The FIFA fan award went to Celtic's supporters.

Francis Koné, who saved an opponent's life on the pitch, picked up the FIFA Fair Play award.

Later in the evening, the FIFPro XI was unveiled. Buffon, Alves, Sergio Ramos, Leonardo Bonucci, Marcelo, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Andrés Iniesta, Neymar, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were awarded a spot in that squad.

The Best Female Coach and Player of the Year awards went to the Netherlands. Sarina Wiegman and Lieke Martens were the winners, although they weren't able to attend the ceremony due to an upcoming World Cup Qualifying match.

The gala came to a close with Diego Maradona and Ronaldo giving away the trophy for The Best male player of the year.
