Preview

Jupp Heynckes is back for a fourth spell in a desperate bid by Bayern to turn things around. Die Roten come into this game having defeated Freiburg 5-0, but are still second in the table behind Borussia Dortmund, and now are playing catchup to PSG in the race for top spot in their group. Of course, they're expected to pick up all three points here against Celtic, but there are still some major doubts about Bayern's ability to compete with the top sides as this competition progresses.

The hosts are still missing star shot stopper Manuel Neuer for this fixture whilst Javi Martinez is also expected to miss the next few fixtures as well.

Although Celtic will be encouraged by their performance following their win against Anderlecht, they are on a seven game winless run against German clubs and have yet to win an away fixture versus Bundesliga teams. Furthermore, taking on a team of Bayern's stature certainly won't be easy, despite the fact that die Roten have struggled this season, and it would take an absoultely monumental effort for them to pull off an upset at the Allianz Arena.
