The Brazilian also refused to admit the idea of 'getting tired' of football after his stint with Los Blaugranas.

If you were one of those who thought Pep Guardiola was responsible for Ronaldinho's departure from Barcelona, the Brazilian player has stepped up to deny such claims.

In an interview with a TV show in Spain, the former PSG & Milan ace denied having a complicated relationship with the Catalan boss, and hinted it was him who requested a transfer away from Los Blaugranas when Guardiola became the team's coach.

"I needed a change, and I decided to leave. I always had a good relationship with Pep, I worked closely with his brother Pere at Nike. I had fulfilled all my goals and I thought it was the right time to leave," "Dinho" stated.

Guardiola stated Ronaldinho's term with the club had to come to an end during his first press conference as Barça's boss, prompting rumors about the reasons why Pep didn't want to work with the Brazilian ace.

Later in the interview, Ronaldinho looked back to his post-Barça career, denying claims about being more interested in partying than in carrying on with his professional career.

"It's a lie, I never lost the joy to play, and I kept winning titles after I left Barcelona. I won the Copa Libertadores with Atlético Mineiro, then I spent 7 unbeaten months at Flamengo. I also led Querétaro to its first-ever tournament final...I don't regret anything I did after leaving Barcelona," the player added.

Ronaldinho is now an ambassador for Barcelona's brand all over the world. His involvement with the club includes playing with the Barça legends, among other duties.
