Preview

So far, it's been pretty smooth sailing for Inter under Luciano Spalletti. Although the Nerazzurri did not spend big this summer, they managed to hang on to all their key players, namely Ivan Perisic, who was on the radar of Manchester United. In fact, until being held to a 1-1 draw, Inter had a perfect winning streak to start the campaign and are unbeaten in their last nine fixtures. The Nerazzurri have not registered such a run since September 2010, when they then made it to 11 sans defeat. Only Marcelo Brozovic will be missing for this fixture, meaning that Spalletti will have a very strong squad available for selection.

Meanwhile, Vincenzo Montella's position is under threat after Milan suffered yet another setback. The Rossoneri have already lost three fixtures this season. Considering the amount the team spent this summer, the expectation was for Milan to at least challenge for a top four spot, although the new owners clearly were hoping they could even make a push for the Scudetto by acquiring names like Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus.

However, they come into this game having lost 2-0 to Roma. Whilst losing to sides like the Giallorossi and Lazio is hardly totally shocking, it also showed that Milan are not yet ready to mix it up with the bigger sides, but losing to a small team like Sampdoria really set off major alarm bells around Milan's camp. In terms of personnel, Hakan Calhanoglu is suspended, whilst Andrea Conti is out and Nikola Kalinic is in doubt for this match.

Rumors are rife that should Montella fail to get a positive result from the Derby Della Madonnina, he could be sacked. With Juventus losing yesterday, Inter will be eager to pull away from the Bianconeri and close the gap on Napoli.
