'La Pulga' led La Albiceleste to a comeback win after a first-minute goal by Romario Ibarra.

Some heroes don't need to wear a cape, and Lionel Messi is a hero of the sort for  Argentina.

Just when things seemed to be darker for La Albiceleste, Messi manufactured himself a hat-trick, his first ever in a World Cup Qualifying match, to lead the blue and white side to one more global tournament.

Messi scored a couple of goals during the first 45 minutes, but his third goal of the evening was an absolute gem. That goal capped a magical comeback for Jorge Sampaoli's men, and their chances of fighting for a third World Cup title are intact.
