Ecuador fought hard to keep their World Cup dream alive, but one of their defenders slipped in the worst possible moment to open the gate for La Roja.

Chile's "Golden Boy" delivered for La Roja when his team needed him the most...but maybe they should thank Israel Murillo for his poor ball-handling skills.

Just a couple of minutes after Ecuador had scored the equalizer, Chile fought back thanks to Sánchez's goal, which clinched the third spot for La Roja in the tough CONMEBOL Qualifiers. Before Alexis' goal, Murillo slipped and served the ball on a platter for Arturo Vidal, who passed the ball and fed it to Felipe Gutiérrez. His shot was deflected by Ecuador's goalie, but Sánchez didn't waste any time to send it to the back of the net.
