New milestone for R. Madrid after beating Espanyol

Isco's brace helps Real Madrid reach milestone against Espanyol

October 1, 2017 By Oscar Rojas
Fans bid farewell to the midfielder with a standing ovation after the player scored one goal in each half of the game.

Real Madrid finally won their first home game of the season, and while at it, they managed to set a league record.

A couple of goals by Isco Alarcón saw Los Blancos climb to La Liga's 5th spot, two points behind second-placed Sevilla. Nevertheless, Barcelona is still seven points ahead of Zidane's crew before the International Break.

Here's why Real Madrid can refer to Espanyol as their best "clients" in La Liga.

It was also a day to remember for Zinedine Zidane.

Los Blancos will return to action on October 14 when they visit Getafe, hoping to bounce back in La Liga before it's too late for them to retain their title.
