The Italian boss has been a massive success at Chelsea, but his term with the London-based club may not last too long.

Once again, Antonio Conte has cast a cloud of doubt over his future as Chelsea's boss, as the Italian tactician admitted his stint away from his country wouldn't last long.

Speaking to an Italian radio station, Conte hinted that once his two-year deal with Chelsea comes to an end, he might opt to make a comeback to a Serie A side.

I miss Italy, there is no doubt. It is not in my mind to stay abroad for a long time. Italy is my country. I will return, I don't know when but that is the aim,” the coach told Radio Anchi'o Sport.

The former Juventus manager refused to clarify if he's ready to part ways by the end of this season, especially because this will be a complicated 12 months for the Blues, with EPL and UEFA Champions League matches to be played.

"It depends on the results, but there’s desire on my part to try to do the best I can, finishing one project and then finding the right one to continue. I miss Italy, that’s a fact," Conte added.

Before the interview concluded, Conte revealed he is not ready to change the English top flight to join a lower-tier league, just like other former Chelsea bosses have done.

"China? No, absolutely not. Bundesliga? It’s always difficult to predict the future. Let’s just say that a coach is a temporary worker," Conte concluded.

This week, Conte's Chelsea will face Atlético Madrid on Matchday 2 of the UEFA Champions League Group Stage.
