The Champions League holders had 12 players on the list, with Cristiano Ronaldo leading the pack.

The nominees for FIFpro World 11 have been announced, and it comes as little surprise that Real Madrid players dominate the list. After winning both La Liga and the Champions League last season, 12 out of the 55 nominations - 13 if you include Pepe - were handed to Los Blancos aces.

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the pack after winning the Champions League Golden Boot. The Ballon d’Or favorite is joined by Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Keylor Navas, and Karim Benzema.

The second most dominant teams on the list were Barcelona and Bayern Munich with eight nominees each. Despite missing out on the Spanish league title, the Blaugrana were heavily featured thanks to the exploits of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Iniesta.

The Bavarians, who swept aside Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig to the Bundesliga title, saw the likes of Lewandowski, Vidal, and Neuer make the cut.

The Premier League is fairly represented in the 55-man shortlist, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Alexis Sanchez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Phiilippe Coutinho getting nods. However, England did not fare well, as Harry Kane was the only Englishman to make the lists.

There were several newcomers. Kylian Mbappe, after his impressive 2016/17 campaign and mega-money switch to PSG, was nominated. Check out the list in full below.
