  • Juventus lost their last meeting with Fiorentina, 2-1
  • However, prior to that, Juventus had won their last five meetings with Fiorentina across all competitions
  • La Vecchia Signora have won 36 out of their last 37 home matches
  • Juventus have won their last 3 home matches against Fiorentina in all competitions
  • They have also have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 home matches against Fiorentina in all competitions

Preview

Juventus come into this game having defeated Sassuolo thanks to a Paulo Dybala hat-trick. Dybala himself was very subdued during the team's 3-0 loss to Barcelona but overall the team were missing several key players, including Sami Khedia, Mario Mandzukic, and Giorgio Chiellini and it was a rather underwhelming showing from Massimiliano Allegri's men. Despite this, Dybala appears to be finally finding his footing, especially in the league and will be expected to again have a big imapct for La Vecchia Signora as he already has eight goals so far in Serie A thanks to two hat-tricks in just four league games for Juve thus far. Allegri, however, is still missing Khedira and Mattia De Sciglio for this fixture, whilst new signing Benedikt Howedes has started to train with the squad.

As for Fiorentina, after a slow start, things seem to be slowly getting on track, but having lost several key players, including Federico Bernadeschi who joined Juventus earlier this summer. The Viola recently picked up two wins, with a 5-0 victory over Verona and a 2-1 win over Bologna, but it goes without saying that those two sides are nowhere near the levels of La Vecchia Signora. The last time they arrived in Turin and left with a win was back in March 2015, when Mohamed Salah's double was enough to give them a 2-1 first leg win in the Coppa Italia first leg.

Match Facts & Stats

  • Napoli are undefeated in their last 6 away matches against Lazio in all competitions
  • Lazio haven't beaten Napoli at the Stadio Olimpico since April 2012
  • Napoli beat both Roma and Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico last season

Preview

Both Napoli and Lazio are coming into this game haivng won their respective league fixtures, albeit Napoli will be the more comfortable of the two. The Partenopei cruised to a very comfortable win over debutants Benevento in their first ever derby meeting, albeit that was to be expected. 6-0 was the score by the time the final whistle sounded, and it was the result Napoli needed after suffering a shock 2-1 reversal to Ukrainian outfit Shakhar Donetsk in the Champions League.

Napoli were among the higher-scoring side in Italy and have continued in the same vein of form this term, with 15 goals netted already from their first four games. Alongside Inter and Juventus, they have a perfect 12 points thus far and will be hoping to challenge the Bianconeri for the Scudetto and presently sit slightly ahead of the reigning Scudetto champs on goal difference. Meanwhile, Lazio destroyed AC Milan 4-1 in the last round, but had to really work hard to see off Genoa last weekend. Fatigue may have played a role for Simone Inzaghi's side, who labored to beat Vitesse 3-2 in Europa League action midweek and with this match coming a few days after their clash with the Grifone, they may find things tough yet again as they prepare to host a Napoli side who didn't have to break much of a sweat when taking care of business against Benevento last weekend.
