The Brazilian midfielder scored the final goal for Los Blaugranas coming off the bench, giving himself some time to adjust to his new team.

After being mocked by most of Barcelona's fans, Paulinho earned himself a "hero of the day" status with his goal against Getafe.

The player's first shot on goal as a Barcelona player found the back of Vicente Guaita's net, keeping Barcelona's unbeaten streak alive.

After the game, the Brazilian midfielder forgot all those who criticized Los Blaugranas for his signing and left an endeering message to Barcelona's fanbase.

"I usually don't get many chances to score, but this time, I took advantage of Messi's great pass and I'm very happy it went in. It's all about winning three points, but coming from behind was really something. That explains my fiery celebration, it had been a very complicated game for us," Paulinho stated.

Following his performance today, he earned a hi-five from one of his team-mates on social media.
