His first game for the Reds did not go as planned…

It must be embarrassing to be Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain right now. After leaving Arsenal in the wake of their 4-0 loss to Liverpool, the Englishman suffered a worse defeat in his debut for the Reds.

The Ox started on the bench but was introduced in the second half of their trip to Man City. With Klopp’s side trailing 2-0 and a man down thanks to Sadio Mane’s sending off, the former Gunners ace was brought in.

Things then went from bad to worse. Liverpool conceded another three goals en route to a 5-0 loss in The Ox’s debut. Here are four awful facts about the Englishman.

1. 4-0, then 5-0

Yes, the most obvious one: he has lost two consecutive Premier League games by 4+ goals for two different clubs.

2. And that is a record…

Remember the above statistic? Oxlade-Chamberlain is the first person to set that horrendous record.

3. Goals for Arsenal = goals conceded in his last two games

The Ox has seen his two teams concede a combined nine goals in his last two games, as many Premier League goals as he has scored in his entire Arsenal career.

4. Another debut to forget

This was a haunting first game, but it pales in comparison to his Arsenal debut. The Englishman’s first game for the Gunners came in their 8-2 loss to Man United. Maybe The Ox is bad luck?
