Honduras had the lead for the best part of the game, but the rising striker kept Arena's men alive with the North American qualifiers.

The Stars & Stripes were almost eliminated from the 2018 World Cup...and then came Bobby Wood.

The American striker scored a goal that could be crucial for the USMNT's hopes of playing in Russia next year, as he came out of nowhere to score a dramatic late goal for Bruce Arena's men. Not only does this point keep the Americans in third position of the World Cup Qualifiers, but also gives them the upper hand against Honduras if they end all games with the same amount of points.

Wood's goal came after a massive free kick save by goalkeeper Luis López, but his defense wasn't fully concentrated to keep the ball away from their net.
