Former Barcelona midfielder wins bank lottery in Qatar

The talented midfielder walked home with a few more bucks in his account after winning quite a hefty prize in his bank.

Xavi's success on the pitch while playing for Barcelona is undeniable. And his luck away from the turf is now a certain fact.

The former Blaugrana midfielder walked away from his bank €230,000 richer, after being announced as one of the winners of a lottery held by Doha Bank, where he keeps an account. What makes this lucky shot more impressive is the fact that he only opened his bank account in December.

"Winning the cash prize was an unexpected but welcome surprise. I opened my account at Doha Bank on December 2016, as I'd taken interest in one of their schemes that encourages their customers to save money and get a chance to become millionaires by entering this lottery," the player added.

Xavi left Barcelona in 2015 after 17 successful years. He won 24 trophies in all competitions for the Blaugrana outfit.
