Another summer transfer saga nears its end. Kylian Mbappe’s future appears to have been decided, as reports linking him with a PSG move grow by the hours.
The latest story fueling his exit rumors is that of Stefan Jovetic. The Montenegrin ace was pictured in a Monaco jersey, sparking claims that the former Man City forward will replace the French teenager.
Jovetic, who spend last season on loan at Sevilla, was seen wearing the number 10 shirt. This comes after reports that Montenegrin forward was present in the Ligue 1 champions’ recent 6-1 triumph over Marseille.
Jovetic, 28, will be hoping to reignite his once promising career. A disappointing spell in the Premier League saw him sold to Inter Milan, but even a return to Serie A couldn’t revive his career.
As for Mbappe, this all but clears the way for his Parc des Princes switch. The Frenchman, currently with the national side for international duty, is ready to join the mega-rich club after seeing his dream Real Madrid move fall apart.
Despite having spent 222 million Euros on Neymar, PSG are still ready to break the bank for Mbappe. Nonetheless, Les Parisiens have found away to stay within the FFP limits.
Unai Emery’s side plan to immediately loan back the attacker to Monaco for the 2017/18 season. A compulsory acquisition clause in that reported agreement means PSG will have to fork out 180 million Euros for the 18-year-old, which will be paid next summer.
