The Catalan tabloid claim the Blaugrana have made a breakthrough in their Coutinho chase just days after signing Dembele.

Barcelona’s rebuilding process has taken a turn for the better. Only been a few days have gone by since the Blaugrana announced the deal for Ousmane Dembele, but the Catalan giants have reportedly made a breakthrough in another transfer saga.

According to Sport, the Copa del Rey giants have taken a huge step towards landing Philippe Coutinho. Apparently, breaking the bank for Dembele has not deterred them from going all out for the Brazilian ace.

The Catalan newspaper write that Liverpool have accepted to sell the 25-year-old after a recent meeting with the player’s representatives. After failing to bring back the former Inter Milan man back into the group, Klopp’s side will now cash in on Coutinho for €160m.

Sport also insist that the Reds, who take on Arsenal on Sunday, will not sell Coutinho until a replacement has been brought in. Renato Sanches is rumored to be the Merseyside giants’ target.

Caution is advised before full believing Sport’s report. The Catalan newspaper have made several incorrect claims on this transfer saga before, and thus fans should take this with a pinch of salt.
