They come into this game having drawn Sassuolo 0-0, and new signing Gianluca Lapadula is struggling with a foot injury, so is in doubt for this fixture.

Meanwhile, Juventus cruised to a relatively comfortable 3-0 win over Cagliari. Goals from Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala, and Gonzalo Higuain were enough to help Massimiliano Allegri's men bounce back from their surprise Supercoppa Italian defeat to Lazio, and start off their title defense on the right foot.

The visitors will be missing Claudio Marchisio after the experienced midfielder suffered another knee problem, but are well covered regardless with the addition of Blaise Matuidi. Given that they lost this fixture last season though, Allegri obviously will not be taking this game too lightly.

An early reunion for Inter's Luciano Spalletti

Roma have undergone some major changes this summer. Namely, the Giallorossi sold two key players: Antonio Rudiger and Mohamed Salah to Chelsea and Liverpool respectively, whilst there also has been a change on the tactician's bench. Luciano Spalletti has departed for Inter, and now has been replaced by former midfielder Eusebio Di Francesco.

The Serie A runners-up started off well, with all three points, albeit they struggled to really break down Atalanta. New signing Aleksandar Kolarov's crafty free-kick, however, was enough to give them a vital win against La Dea, and they now will welcome their ex-boss Spalletti and the Nerazzurri for the biggest game of matchday two. Unfortunately, they will have to make do without four defenders due to injuries, meaning that they will have to undergo some shuffles in the starting XI.

Inter

Meanwhile, Spalletti's reign at Inter started off with a bang, as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Fiorentina. After a past few seasons that have seen them struggle, Nerazzurri fans just may have something to be excited about for this term as they hope to break into the top four. Still, given that cross-town rivals AC Milan spent quite a bit of cash this summer, and Inter didn't, there is some concerns about the team's lack of spending, but a win here against another big side will go some ways obviously towards alleviating those worries.

Nonetheless, Inter so far have managed to hang on to their major players, including Ivan Perisic, who was on the radar of Manchester United all summer. They haven't beaten Roma at this ground in nearly ten years - will they be able to overcome this long wait on Saturday?
