Pep Guardiola then confirmed this piece of news on Tuesday morning whereas Bojan shared his emotions with the public through the media.
“I am very happy to be at peace following the signing of this new deal,” the 20-year-old forward told reporters.
“I’ll now have the chance to keep growing at the club of my life. The most important thing is what happens on the field of play.
“But, the fact that Barcelona have given me such a long contract shows how much confidence they’ve got in me. I hope things get better and I hope to keep moving forward.
“In that case, I’ll be able to show that I belong to Barca and that I’m a valid option.”
With 38 goals in 146 matches, Barcelona’s Bojan has a long way to go before ranking among the club’s legend. However, this new contract could signify the beginning of a much brighter future for the kid.
