Cristiano Ronaldo is among those nominated to win the second award of the sort handed by football's governing body.

It's a good time to be a Real Madrid fan, as seven of their players and their coach were nominated to win FIFA's The Best Award.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric, Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal, Keylor Navas, Marcelo and Toni Kroos are Los Blancos' contenders to win the coveted prize. Barcelona saw Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta, Luis Suárez and Neymar earning nominations, although the Brazilian is listed as PSG's player following his blockbuster move.

Here's the complete list of players competing for the award.

In the coach's department, Zinedine Zidane has also been nominated after losing to Claudio Ranieri last year. The short list for The Best coach includes EPL winner Antonio Conte, UEFA Europa League champion Jose Mourinho and former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique.

Furthermore, the 10 candidates to win The Best FIFA Women's Player award were also revealed.

All nominees were complete when the 2017 The Best FIFA Women's Coach contenders were unveiled.

Voting starts on Monday, August 21. Fans, members of the media, Coaches and captains of all FIFA-affiliated teams will have a say in this ballot.
