Mbappé will join Neymar at PSG

Transfer: Kylian Mbappé set to snub Real Madrid to join PSG

August 10, 2017 By Oscar Rojas
The rising French star will fulfill his father's dream of playing for his hometown team. The player's signing would be unveiled on Monday.

First came Neymar, now it will be Kylian Mbappé.

PSG's owners have made it their duty to set a record for the busiest summer transfer window, and according to Marca, Les Parisiens have landed Kylian Mbappé's signing after offering him a €12M salary.

Reports from Spanish radio statio Onda Cero revealed that Mbappé told Real Madrid execs about PSG's offer so they could match it. The Spanish officers reportedly walked away from all negotiations by wishing him the best in his new adventure.

Marca's report states that Monaco and PSG agreed a €160M transfer, plus €20M in bonuses. That's the same amount Real Madrid was ready to pay Les Princes to sign the player away. The French striker's decision to snub Los Blancos came after his father asked him to join his birthplace team, but the real deal breaker came when PSG offered him the impressive salary.

With Mbappé's signing, it is yet unclear whether if PSG will sell any of their strikers to fit Neymar or the French star in their lineup. Furthermore, Financial Fair Play rules could be breached by the French giants, but that seems to be the least of their problems now.
