The last group games in the CONCACAF Gold Cup begin today, and fans should get a glimpse of what's going on ahead of their National Team's final group matches.
Three teams are already eliminated from the competition, as Nicaragua, Curaçao and French Guiana have no chances of making it to the KO stage. French Guiana's case was sorted out a few hours ago, as they were slapped with a punishment for fielding Florent Malouda against Honduras.
With that in mind, let's have a closer look at the standings.
Group A
Canada and Costa Rica are in prime position to secure a spot in the KO stage, but Honduras' win due to Florent Malouda's ineligibility will certainly make things more interesting for Friday's games. Los Ticos and the Canadian side could secure their spot in the next round with a draw, while Honduras needs a win in order to keep most of their chances alive.
Group B
The USMNT may have struggled during their first games, but facing Nicaragua will surely give them a chance to grab the top of Group B for good. Bruce Arena's men will already know what sort of result they need to win the group, as Panama and Martinique will play a couple of hours before they do.
Group C
Surprisingly enough, Mexico and Jamaica ended their match on Thursday with a draw, and now, El Tri is forced to beat Curaçao by a wide margin to secure the top spot of Group C. The Reggae Boyz will face El Salvador in what should turn out to be an interesting game, as Los Cuscatlecos still have a shot at qualifying in second place.
