After Alexandre Lacazette's signing, some of The Gunners strikers may have to find other employment opportunities.

The Gunners may face a problem due to the high amount of strikers on their squad, but there are some that seem ready to step away if they are deemed surplus to the team's needs.

French striker Olivier Giroud is one of those players who is willing to leave, as he admitted in an interview he is considering a possible transfer away from the Gunners' discipline this summer, especially after Alexandre Lacazette's record signing with the team.

"It (leaving) is an option to be honest with you. I’m here in pre-season, I wanted to travel. Some people asked me if I am going to travel or not and of course, I am Arsenal player and for the moment I am here so I just want to prepare well for the season and we will see later," Giroud stated in an interview published by The Mirror.

The French International has scored 98 goals in 226 official matches with the Gunners since his arrival in 2012.

The 30-year old striker went on and discussed his future at another club, even referring to his time at Arsenal in past tense.

"I really enjoyed my five years with Arsenal. I’m still an Arsenal player for the moment so I try to be professional. No matter what happens, I did my job on the pitch. I won’t forget it, no matter what happens," the player added.

Giroud didn't hesitate when speaking about the team's business during the current transfer window, as the club's moves are intended to add options for Arsene Wenger to use. Even so, he still referred to his career with the club in past tense, rather than showing his willingness to fight for a spot in the team's lineup.

“I really enjoyed all my time at the Arsenal and I scored a few nice goals but always like to speak about the team, the team spirit and the team work," the player concluded.

Marseille, Borussia Dortmund and Everton are Giroud's potential destinations if he chooses to leave. Meanwhile, coach Arsene Wenger has left it up to the striker to decide if he wants to continue with the club or not. Wenger has reportedly set a £35 million price tag on the striker.
