The first round of games is over in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, leaving some interesting details to discuss among fans.
The tournament's beginning on Friday saw Costa Rica and Canada win their games against Honduras and French Guiana, respectively. Los Ticos ended a 4-game streak without a win against Honduras, while Canada became the team with the best goal differential by beating the Yana Dokos 4-2.

Group B has a surprising leader after the first two games, with Martinique taking the top spot after beating Nicaragua. The USMNT, considered the favorite to win the group and one of the top contenders for the title will have to up their game if they want to make it out of the first round. Panama made history with their equalizer against the Stars & Stripes, as they are now on a four-game streak without a loss when facing the USMNT.
The other candidate to win the title did not disappoint, as Mexico defeated El Salvador to take the top of Group C. El Tri struggled during the first half of the game, but a massive performance by Elías Hernández with two assists and one goal was enough to give Mexico a winning start.
Earlier today, Jamaica kept things rolling for them after a 2-0 win over Curaçao. The Reggae Boyz will surely have a contender for goal of the tournament thanks to Darren Mattocks' impressive goal.
