The Brazilian ace wasn't all that comfortable when he first joined Los Blaugranas, and most of all, it was due to Messi's presence.

Having Lionel Messi around in a locker room has to be impressive enough, and Neymar suffered from stage fright during his first moments with Los Blaugranas.

Speaking in an interview with Brazilian TV Show "Caldeirao do Huck", Neymar admitted that being around Messi, Xavi and many more stars made him feel uncomfortable, up to the point where talking to any of them was too complicated for him.

"When I went in and looked around, I found Messi on one side. Then, I looked to the other and there were Piqué, Xavi or Iniesta. It seemed like I was part of a video game, I had just played with them in the console and now I had all of them beside me," Neymar recalled.

"I was really young. I was 21 and I had just arrived to the club. Sometimes I felt ashamed just to talk to them. I looked up to Messi and all of them, they were my role models, I was really shocked," Neymar added.

Since then, Neymar and Messi have developed a close friendship. Along with Luis Suárez, the trio has formed one of the deadliest attacks in football history, and that synergy can be felt both on and off the pitch. As an example, Neymar and Suárez were guests at Messi's wedding last Friday.

Neymar, Dani Alves and Messi, during the latter's wedding on June 30.
