As expected, the final match of the UEFA U-21 Championship in Poland did not disappoint, and Germany has beaten all the competition to secure their second trophy in this category.
Mitchell Weiser scored the game-winner for Germany before the first half concluded by sending a lobbed ball into the top right hand corner of Spain's net. Even with Marco Asensio, Saul and Hector Bellerin on the pitch, La Rojita wasn't able to bounce back.
Germany's previous win in this competition came back in 2009. Spain was looking for a record-setting fifth time as champions, but they'll have to wait to set that record until the next edition.
